Couple of weeks ago, I gave away milk and water kefir grains as well as Matsoni culture and received a cup of sourdough starter in return :)
This morning, I fed it for the first time... It is slowly waking from its cool slumber in the fridge!
After contacting my Mum, I started my own starter... I'm rather happy with the outcome so far.
I'm going to keep them both going... The instructions for both are very different. Will be interesting to see which one produces the better bread as well as ends up being the easiest to upkeep...
