The Shed was next...

I cringe when I go in there... It's not my area, I can't do anything about it... But I'd love to and the holidays is the time just for that :)

I must hand it to Russell. He loves to keep stuff (just in case...) but he's good at finally letting go, if even just a little. Better than nothing...

Getting there slowly... Here are before shots... Can't wait to see it in the end... We have the next three days at home so here's hoping!

Blessings,

It's happening again...

Decluttering that is...

Josh's clothes were done yesterday. Two large bags worth were removed. One for charity and one for the bin :) Love the cupboards looking so neat and tidy...

Another bag for charity from Tim's room too... Russell's need to be done too. I'll go again too :)

Love to get rid of stuff!!!

New drawer...

My drawer in the bathroom has this amazing way of having things appear in it. Keeping freebies that don't end up being freebies... Keeping things 'just in case'. Well no more...

I either totally love it and it's very useful or it leaves the house. And that doesn't apply to just my bathroom drawer... And yes, humans and animals are excluded from that too bahaha.

Blessings,

Decluttering...

More stuff to go... Can't wait to give all of this away on Tuesday... It's all going to a lovely lady, Kerry, that I've met through my local Peer Support Group meetings. She has a little shop near Stanthorpe, selling second hand goods. These are all in great nick, if not excellent condition and will help her with her boy Blake allot.

I have a friend from my village that's donating things to her also. That's going to be a separate visit straight to the shop.

Feeling blessed to be able to help. Feeling blessed to have less stuff ;) It's amazing how easily stuff can creep into a home sometimes... It's quite an eye opener... So much left to do... One step at a time...

Declutter...

I have done more... More of my clothes, mats, bedsheets and towels. Feels great to have it gone...

Can't wait to deliver it to the Op shop :) Looking at the rest of the house again... Still sooooo much 'stuff'... Boys rooms are next I think ;)

Lots of scanning to be done...

As I find photos, I've been putting them in one spot! A mass is accumulating... They all need sorting and scanning... Will then put them on sticks for each of the boys to have their own photos to do with one day, as they please... Will be good to cull more clutter :) That's a job for another day...

Declutter Part 10...

My side of the walk in robe has been done... Love, love, love to go in there now... Again, allot was donated or given away... Wonder when hubby's doing his side...

Blessings,

Declutter Part 9...

Oh, how I love using the gernie... Love getting rid of spiderwebs on the outside of the house... Was great to get a little wet on a hot day too ;)

Blessings,

Declutter Part 8...

Loved doing the pantry. Ended up doing it over an afternoon and the next morning :) With hubby's help!

Cake tins...

My eldest made these last year, in Year 11, in Metal Work at school... Unfortunately, they're too small for actual baking and have gaps so they would leak...

I have a photo of them and they will be used as containers with presents to grandparents in the future...

Blessings,

Declutter Part 7...

Here's a shot of mostly picture frames as well as glassware. Allot of things from the hutches... The huge bear hubby used to tie a jewelry box with a necklace in it, around the bears neck! Was given to me for our first Christmas, after knowing each other 11 days... It's just too big... I've had it for 22 years... Time to be another person's treasure...

Can't wait to recycle this tomorrow :)

Blessings,

Hard stuff to Declutter...

Must admit I've come across some things I didn't want to deal with...

The rose petals from my Wedding Bouquet from 20 Years ago... They still smell! My baby sister kept them in a glass bowl and gave them back years ago... I have a photo and they're going...

A juice jug that we used to use when I was young... Again, took a picture and it's going...

I'm trying to find a home for a cross stitch that my Oma's twin made for my Oma for their 60th Birthday... No takers yet... It's going too...

I'm finding that the pressure is too much. Keeping stuff just because I'm sentimental isn't enough reason to bring it into my home. Not anymore... It has to fit our family. It has to be beautiful and useful. Dust gatherers are no longer welcome!

Blessings,

Minimising clutter...

It just gathers dust. I hate dust... Stuff that just sits there... It's useless and over time it is not been stuff that we love anymore...

I used to have the top of cabinets full... Now there are only one or two things up there. The hutch had three things per shelf. The candles put away or thrown out. Sick, sick, sick and tired of "Stuff"!!!

Can't wait for this weather to cool down so I can get more done. Tomorrow we are going to the recycle centre to take a trailer load of stuff ;)

Blessings,

Declutter Part 6...

More pictures and hangings came off the walls of the house... The hallway is soooo bare but I love the echo you can hear when talking and walking down it! My eldest is freaking out a little. He wants it all back on the wall... He keeps saying he loves all the stuff all over the walls...

Well, I don't! It's just too much... He'll see once things are finished, just how much better it will look... We will be able to breathe and relax...Amazing how things accumulate over even short periods of time... Will be great not to have to rush around madly before people come to visit or to be embarrassed if someone just turns up. Something is always out of place and I like neat and tidy! The biggest thing for me will be the quick and easy thing dusting and cleaning will be!!!

I'm not being drastic, don't get me wrong. What we keep, will be beautiful and useful... Nothing wrong with that aim, hey? More of a realistic minimalistic :)

Declutter Part 5...

Here are some photos of what has left our home so far, since I've started...

Didn't take before shots sometimes... I forgot... So here are some after shots :)
