I could identify with so much... I could see allot of what I, hubby and the boys had been doing that was not helping us as a family... I needed that to change!
Hubby and I agreed that we needed to try to connect better as a family. I needed help with not being on my phone. It's my computer. I do everything on it. Hubby and the boys were on their own computers way too much and I really missed those true No Technology Days and Low Electricity days...
So here's what our family is doing from tomorrow, Monday to next Monday...
No Technology at all... No computers, phones, iPods, iPads, mini iPad, iPad Air, nothing!
Phones will be used only as phones, no texting even. The only times I'm getting on my phone is to update my food diary and hubby two times to update the budget! That's it!
My youngest was fine with our ideas straight away, my eldest was another story... He'll be alright once he gets used to it, I know it. And after this experiment, which I want to do once a month actually, the technology will not be a given. Not something that automatically happens. We are all addicted... We are going to help each other as we go through withdrawals... We are going to go back to being a family... I think we have pretty open communication already between each other but this will top it altogether and I can't wait!
Looking forward to reporting back as to how we ended up going...
See you in a week or so ;)
Blessings,

Wow. Thats a big step for the whole family. Can you still answer the old trusty telephone if I ring instead of FaceTime?
Hey Adam,
Off course we can still have our FaceTime again now :) Hubby and I have decided though that from now on we will do the No Technology for a weekend a month and keep the Mondays and Wednesdays going as well... Two days a week permanently and an extra weekend on top of that a month! Sooooo happy :) So at those times we can still talk on the phone, never fear! ;) Hehe doesn't take much to make this girl happy, hey? X
