Happy 53rd Birthday, Russell

Yesterday was Russell’s Birthday... Love celebrating it. Russell, Tim, Josh and I went out for lunch at our favourite Chinese Restaruant and feasted :) Caramel mud cake was the order of the day for dessert :)

Always so good to see someone I love have their face light up when we all sing Happy Birthday! Love it! Never gets old :)

25 Years Married...

27th March, Russell and I celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary... We went away just the two of us. We had a lovely time up the Sunshine Coast for three nights and came home very refreshed. We stayed right at the beach and our apartment had beautiful beach views. Was beautiful to wake up to the sound of the waves...

While we were away, our youngest, Josh moved out into his own unit. It was a most exciting and huge step for him to take. Originally he was going to wait to finish his Assistant Manager training at Hungry Jacks but he couldnt’ wait :) He has not looked back. He has grown and matured so much in a short period of time. So proud of him. Seeing he got the keys while we were away, Tim ended up helping him move. Great brother bonding stuff to do. Felt strange not being there for the big move though there was plenty left behind. Most went to charity and some was not able to be saved so went sadly in the bin. Some old toys went to kids that thought Christmas had come very early :)

Mother’s Day for my Mother...

Was wonderful to see all my siblings get together for my Mum’s Mother’s Day celebrations this year. We ended up near Bribie Island and spent the day. Was great to catch with everyone...

Happy Birthday, Russell...

Yesterday, Russell celebrated his 51st Birthday... Was truly a wonderful day. Ended with a roast and homemade baked cheesecake. First attempt ever. Russell usually makes the cheesecakes. This year he asked for one for himself. Turned out really good.

On a wet day...

Today has seen 28.2ml come down so far... That's over 5000 litres of water into our tanks... 

I love a rainy day... As it's a little chilly, it's a great excuse to put on the fire, watch a movie together, have a candlelight dinner with my three lads and have homemade bread and butter pudding ;)

One of the best bits about seeing my sister and her beautiful family is that I also always get to visit with my mum and stepdad...

My mum is the best cook, baker, food genius in the universe (off course). I let her know I'm coming and she's always so generous and obliging and makes the best food. I do enjoy the company and banter. This time we looked through so many photographs of our family also. Was a truly treasured time. Fills my love tank so well...

What a day...

I truly love Birthdays... Usually, everyone else's... Today was my turn...

Had a lovely day. Homemade pancakes with 100% Pure Maple Syrup. The most yummy quiche for dinner and a Snickers Baked Cheesecake and ice cream for dessert... Extra paddy cakes and cake with candles with other treasured people in my life too. Yesterday, we had Chinese for lunch as a family. So many Birthday hugs at church this morning... So many calls... So many messages... So very blessed!

Godmother and son...

Last Saturday, my family got together and celebrated all the November babies... There are five of us...

Singing Happy Birthday is always interesting... Josh was so looking forward to seeing my baby sister. He gets along ever so well with her. Tim had made his special Bruffins just for her too... 'Twas a nice change to go to a family do and not bake... Reckon the boys can always do it from now ;) 

This photo made me realise that he's quite tall and still growing! Lis only has 4.5 weeks to go till she's due... So exciting. Another boy in the family...

It is probably the last time I'll see her pregnant too... Was a bit sad but a new stage in her life is awaiting her and Phil. Very exciting...

Visited Lis over the weekend as we had Cookie Club again. It's a month earlier this year as Lis is due in early December... Still helped to put up the tree... Looked beautiful...
