Tiny egg...

Amazing how small an egg they can lay... 

If it's like the last one, it won't have a yolk...

Wonder if it was laid at the beginning or the end of a laying season, or just because...

Eat Street Markets...

They are in Hamilton, very close to the centre of Brisbane. My sisters and BIL took me last Friday night, to show me what they are all about. It had been raining, so there were hardly any people... Most of the stalls were made up of converted shipping containers that were there permanently. Pop up tents were there also. Container storeholders had to stay till 10pm, while others could leave early if they chose to. There was entertainment also. The fairy lights made for a lovely atmosphere. The place is huge and there's soooo much to choose from... Glad I hadn't eaten, as the place is all about food... From all sorts of different countries. The chocolate fondue for 2 for desert, was a must ;)

It was a great way to walk around and tasting different foods without having to hold onto each other. It's normally very, very crowded. Got to even try my first beef jerkey ever! Took a sample home and Tim loved it...

Had a great night, despite having travelled 2 1/2 hours to get to Lis'. Soooo glad we went even though it was wet! Great experience! Actually authentic!

Treat time...

Had a little suprise in amongst my lemons from my mum yesterday... Haven't had these for a long time... Oh, they were soooo yummy! Thanks mum :) Reminds me of Austria...

Yummy Pizza with chicken, lentils, cheese, pineapple with herbs & spices...

Water Kefir was our delish drink! A beautiful dinner to come home to! My hubby outdoes himself each and every time :)

It meets with the household's approval! The white marshmallows and chocolate were failsafe. Hubby and I had the pink marshmallows :)

Quinoa, chicken and white sauce...

To say it was yummy is an understatement :)

I bought a kilo a while ago and the quinoa has kept excellently. Much cheaper from my local health food shop as opposed to the tiny packets you get in the large supermarkets...

I cooked the quinoa in my rice cooker. It expanded extremely well. Also took on the white sauce very well. On its own it is rather bland though. Am happy that I'm now eating Aztec food :)

Amaranth plants will hopefully come up soon in the garden :) Then we have more Aztec food :)

Monday we had The Coffee Club open up in Warwick :)

Been waiting for ages... Tonight, hubby took me to dinner... Calamari and salad and chips... Yum!!!

Hubby had the chicken fillet burger and it was delish too :)

Lovely setting, very attentive staff and great food... Made for a lovely meal :)

Science Experiments with Dinner...

Easy dinner last night... Eggs on toast. Hubby boiled the eggs and toasted the bread. We did the rest ourselves...

As we were peeling our eggs, my youngest tries to do a 'stunt' he saw in a movie once...

Peel both ends of the egg, blow hard at one end and the rest of the shell will just pop right off... Wouldn't you know it it worked. Lol

Now that's one way to get the shell off an egg hehe!

The rest of my boys think I'm just a little strange and possibly from another planet...

I love mussels. Anything seafoody really! Found these in Aldi with Tomato Sauce... Yum!!! Gone in 30 seconds! Lol
