Josh comes home from Parkour and then needs to do his jobs around the place and work on his assignments...

One needs sustenance when doing that off course... So he asks if he can have sandwiches like he used to when little... Cut into quarters... Lol

Principal Awards...

We got notification of it with Josh's report card. No one had any idea what level he ended up. Not even Josh. 

We got there yesterday and we were all there supporting him and honouring him in his Level 2 achievement! Was so great to celebrate Josh as a family.

Joshua's 17th Birthday...

It was last Tuesday and what a day it was... He so wanted an upgraded graphics card and he got that. Also really loved playing the Beta version of Overwatch so got him that game too. We also paid for his visit for Kloud9ine and Paintballing. 

Tim got him glass putty. Josh has found it on YouTube and Tim though it would be a great present for him. Tim got some for himself also. Also have him 1kg of sour strawberry and cream licorice and money. So very generous of him. So proud of him...

Just ended up being a fabulous whole day...

Roast for dinner and Josh requested a double soggy cake. Couldn't refuse ;)

What a day...

Josh celebrated his Birthday with Tim and six other mates today. First was Kloud9ine for two hours, lunch and then Paintballing.

Josh really wanted to be pelleted with paintballs so he wore the bright yellow mask and bright pink tutu... Yep, he got hit alright... Brilliant time was had by all :) Bring on the next time... After the swelling goes down...

Yesterday, started out as a slow day and we didn't get ready till about 1:30pm... We had time and we took it. We got the flowers for Josh and his partner Laura at 3:20pm. Got to her house a little early and were on a tight time line to go to several places for photos. At 4:45pm, Josh got the 67 black Chevy Impala and picked up Laura from her home. There he also gave her a card and a cubic zirconia flower necklace as a thank you gift for being his partner. Such a proud moment for me as his mum. He was the perfect gentleman too, all night. And not just with Laura but also with others. They take great pictures together, that's for sure. Everything came together so well. Laura's mum and sister had all the photo opportunities sussed out and all that needed to be achieved, I believe was :)

The whole night was a huge hit. Josh was very attentive and Laura wouldn't have ever gotten any more from another partner! I am so very proud of him. All those years of teaching. All those mum and son dates have been well worth it! 

The formal evening really started at them lining up to come down the red carpet at 6pm. They drove up at 6:40pm. Then off to the RSL by way of three buses. A loud and fabulous time was had by all. Like Tim, Josh lost his voice and also didn't want the night to be over... It finished at 11:45pm... So glad he has such a brilliant time. He got to dance with all the ladies and a bunch of the lads too... That was our last one... Awwww. Such a high note to leave it on though :)

First Last Day...

Today, Josh had his last first day for a school year. He's started Year 12...

Just amazes me that the years really do just melt away... Time flies. Enjoy every moment. Never be in a hurry to wish away a part of their journey, or yours for that matter... 

Josh was so kind and obliged me this morning by allowing me to take these pictures. He's growing into a tall, handsome young man... So proud of how far he has come... Here's to a fantastic last year of school...

Josh is really enjoying this term at Gymnastics. He's learnt allot of new moves and is loving trying them out on the trampoline during the week...

First Day...

Josh is doing work experience at The Coffee Club in town. So proud of him. He had a great first day too. I love how they make them feel welcome but even giving them a uniform shirt. So kind. Love their attitude. The owner is so lovely also.

Proud Mummy moment...

This is Josh's Graphics assignment this term. Ended up being published in the school newsletter! So proud of him.

Mock Formal...

Josh goes on his camp tomorrow and one thing they do there is a mock formal to teach them what to expect a little. At Tim's camp there were over 200 kids... At Josh's there are only 88 going... Tim had to end up having two dates at the same time. Josh will get one lucky lady. He's made a corsarge for his date. The theme is pink. So he made his buttons pink. Russell helped a little with the suit and it ended up really good. Did take most of the day though... I know he will have an awesome time. I'm looking forward to picking him up Thursday afternoon for a date to hear all about it!
