Grapes are ready for eating...
While Tim was washing my car last night, I went and watered the greenhouse. I have been eagerly waiting for the grapes to ripen so they could be eaten. Today was the day!!!

The are ready and ever so sweet. Time to cut them and feast!

Trimming the Rosemary...
It's been in there for nine years and has never had a trim. It was time... I took heaps of cuttings and Russell has put them in the greenhouse. We hope they grow as we would love a hedge out the front house fence with Rosemary... Great for the coming bees too :)

Mr Lincoln...
Love the smell and the beautiful rose bush this is... Love bringing it I tot he house... This one was for Russell's bedside table :)
Cut the bush back really well earlier this week... Should grow heaps more flowers again.
Blessings,
Mulberries galore...
We went into the greenhouse first time in a long time... Lots had died and just not coped with the frost...
The mulberry tree was touching the roof and has roots growing out underneath into the base gravel of the greenhouse...
It is covered in fruit. Took some off that were ripe and they were lovely. Could be sweeter though seeing we didn't feed it it is doing extremely well!
Yum!
Blessings,
Fruit galore...
Nom Nom Nom...

Harvest time...
This is what happens when you don't water the potato plants enough... Leave them to their own devises and they don't grow much...
We will get one meal out of it for Monday night though that's all...
I'm in the process of moving the tyres closer to the shed so that it's easier to water them... Will see if that makes a difference.
I have a list of 30 things that need doing around the place over the next two weeks holidays... Have already started getting stuck in and can't wait to make a big dent in that list this week :)
Blessings,
Will they, won't they???
Stalks are coming up. Leaves are poking through the soil... Looking forward to the colour... So beautiful...
Blessings,
Should be deep red Hippies...
Will this flower???
This one is pink, from memory I think...
Flowering...
Spring is springing... Had 5 degrees last night yet still the flowers are pushing through :)
So wonderful to see...

Oops...
Was cutting back the first rose bush and didn't even make it through half the bush when the secateurs snapped...
Oops, then had to let Russell know... Double oops...
Maybe shouldn't use his secateurs that he uses in the greenhouse... Though I did try and find mine... :(

Bring them in...
I had to pick some jonquils and lavender and bring them inside to enjoy...
Such a heavenly scent...

Flowers in the garden...
The garden doesn't know if it's time to flower or not... It seems very confused. We are still to have frosts come and some flowers can't help themselves and have decided to flower early. The bees have been very busy indeed...
Blessings,
Iris always remind me of my Oma...
The rosemary is heavy with bees...
The wattle smells devine...
The lavender, oh the scent...

Mystery bulb...
This one, I have not seen before... It smells like a cross between garlic and spring onion.
It was given to me with a note saying the I was special... Didn't know if to plant it in the vegie garden or amongst my flowers.
It's in a pot for now. It's in a morning sunny position. Will see what happens...

Harvest Time...
The Yacon has started to grow again after a spell during winter... The roots were so dense, I took three up to the house...
Will be used shortly... Many more on the plant... Have planted yummy sweet potatoes at the other end of the bed as well :) I was suprised to find so many fat farmers... The chooks loved them and gobbled them all up. Some where tiny in size, most were very fat and juicy! Must keep an eye on that...

Flowering...
Russell's carnivorous plant needed removal of dead and old growth once winter had totally passed... Low and behold we find a flower...
Very precious... The Venus flytrap didn't fare so well over winter...
Blessings,
