Fig eating and Jam time...

After work on Friday, I went to a property in Warwick and they had over 1000 fig trees... So many still had fruit on. The season lasts till end of June, so I may be back :)

I bought 2 trays for eating and took home a huge bag full of really small ones that I’ll be turning into jam. Tonight, I start. They taste so good! Yum!

Yummmmmmmm

Gifts...

After Biblestudy yesterday, I was given beautiful Strawberry Marmalade...

Turns out that my friend's friend Catherine that makes these delicious small goods is the same Mum at my hubby's school and she has gifted him with goods too... Small world...

Love to barter and bring a smile to others' face as well as my own. Love sharing skills and knowledge...

Jumpers N Jazz...

It's a yearly massive winter festival that is done in Warwick... It's a lovely way to bring many communities and different walks of life together for one cause. Was wonderful to see so many getting out there enjoying the time in the sunshine. The weather has been superb... The music was everywhere and always something a little different!

A joy to be apart of!

Christmas in July...

Enjoy having the community come together and celebrate a little.

Santa and his helper came... Songs were sung... Food and drink was had... Conversations were had... Dancing was done... Prizes were won...

The trivia prize was mine ;) How many streetlights are there in the Main Street? 3, and that's in the whole village! Hehe

The Moscato was mine :)

Blessings,

New house in our Street...

One morning we wake to hear a huge truck at the front of our property...

On the back, he's carrying a house! It amazes me how a house can be moved like that...

It now is on stumps and has a huge tarp over the roof. Won't be long and it may have a family in it! Excitement plus!

Helping out...

Our Neighbour has just had his left knee replaced a week ago. He's doing really well and getting there slowly...

Yesterday, I took the opportunity and made him a couple of weeks' worth of meals...

I love to bless others. I love to be blessed when I see the reaction hehe

Spoilt already...

Russell has worked at his new school for only three weeks and already he's being spoilt. The cleaner has brought in mixed arrangements of nuts and a parent brought in homemade grape jam... Absolutely amazing... So caring. So kind. So generous...

Love him being able to work in such a wonderful environment... Warms my heart...

Christmas in the Park...

Had our annual local Christmas party in the park this afternoon.

The entertainment started at 4pm. Loads of local artists and just generally a great get together. The weather was nasty all around but didn't reach us. The lightening show was Awesome!!!

Loved seeing everyone in one place and I even won a lucky door prize! Woohoo!

Had such a great time... So good to be there. Was told that they missed me doing Mrs Claus... Might do it again next year ;) Never know...

Award Ceremony...

Last night was Russell's last Awards Ceremony at our local little school... For me, it was a little sad but I'm also looking forward to him moving to his new school. He's going to shine even more. His fantastic qualities will be able to be utilized much more. He's also gotten his qualifications again for upgrading computers in schools. That will generate an extra income also... He had been at this school 4.5 years. He has seen three Principals there and numerous students come and go.

At the moment there are 16 students. He's about to go to a school with over 200. Gonna be awesome. The Principal said some lovely words and gave thanks to him for all his work as well as his dry sense of humour hehe

There were some awards given out as well as some lovely performances by the students. Loved the PowerPoint presentation of what was achieved over the year too ;)

Movie stars in our town...

This morning Russell had trouble getting to school. There was a film crew blocking the Main Street in our village...

A new Australian Series called 'Wanted' is being filmed around these parts at the moment... They've been all over the place... Supposed to come on TV next year.

So Tim and I had a sticky beak! Steve that used to play Brax on Home and Away was there filming scenes at the local pub. They are then moving onto the driveway of the local shop and the run down old Petrol station up on the highway.

Just a little bit exciting :) Got boring after the 5th take of the same scene... Glad we went and had a look though.

High Tea...

16 of us local ladies went to Bryson's yesterday for a High Tea... It was a lovey way to finish the year off and was a lovely time.

Didn't get to talk to as many of the ladies properly as I would have liked but that's what happens I guess when you're all in one line...

The company was lovely and so was the food and atmosphere...

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, ladies!

Laugh... Something I did allot ;)

Wow, Really???

I was on a date with Tim... The place we went to has hay rides as well and as we were finishing up at about the leaving time, we decided to go on the hay ride.

At the half way point, we all got out and some tried to fly boomerangs and some tried their hand at whip cracking... Guess what I attempted... Yep the whip cracking. I got a couple of cracks out and then I got my neck! Far out it hurt!!!

Tim tried so hard to learn in like 5-10mins. Russell, the teacher, was very patient... Great try Tim!

Andy Wilson Memorial Run...

We had it in our little village for the first time this year... Last Sunday was a most brilliant day for it. The weather was perfect!

We had walkers and runners. Young and old. There were 1km, 5km, 8km and 12km events to choose from. It was very well attended and I also loved the additional stalls that were there...

Had the best coffee and scored a beautiful cardigan for Lis' baby... So cute! I love seeing our community coming together like this... Nope, I didn't enter anything as I was not able to stay. I had a Birthday bash from work to attend. I instead went down with Josh to see them off at the start and spent some money. My ankle will be fine for next year, I know it!

Blessings,
