Huge Step...

In my heart I had always hoped we would be able to have Dexters here again, one day... Realistically, that's not going to happen. 8 acres isn't enough room for two and we really want the seedling trees to keep growing ;)

Today, Russell and Josh are demolishing the cow yards we built nine years ago... Sad to see them go though it's making way for the new three bay shed. It will house Russell's tools, etc...

We will then finally have a place to park both the cars out of the elements, in our original shed. Will be great to have this chapter finished... Then, onto the driveway.

Went to hear him speak. He's from Canada and has just spent the last two months in Australia... Will go again tomorrow night :)

Chimney Sweeper...

We have been here nearly nine years and haven't had the chimney cleaned by a professional... We have always gotten excellent quality wood from our wood man and regularly put preventatives in the fire also to minimize the build up.

When we had the professionals come and clean the chimney, it was in excellent condition. Glad to see the small pile that came down the chimney :)

Nothing like a story on the news about a house burning down and the chimney being at fault to get you to act. Glad all is good at our home ;)

Dusk...

Love a trip to Dusk... All those candles... I hadn't been there for a long time. This last visit to my sister's place I had a look. Should have had my lighter on me to have it regased... Never mind means I'll have to go to Toowoomba sometime to get it done there. Want to make a trip to Koorong anyway. My favourite bookstore!

I came home with tea lights and five new large candles... Looking forward to using some as gifts. Some are gifts for me ;)

Last week I hit my hand on the tractor... It has hurt all that time and the bruising still hasn't gone down. It is also exactly at the spot where my scar starts from my hand operation February last year... I hope it heals soon...

Celebrating Mother's Day...

I was asked this year what I'd like for Mother's Day... All I wanted was lovely cards and a home cooked meal made by my three men...

And that's exactly what I got. I'm one blessed Mumma...

Roast pork with crackling, roast vegies and homemade gravy. Desert was white chocolate and raspberry baked cheesecake with raspberry sauce...

Yup, very blessed...

What a Conference...

A friend of mine and I spent Tuesday to Saturday down in Brisbane...

We attended the second Women on the Frontlines Conference... Last year it was great. So was this year...

Love being with a large group of women, and a few men and empowering each other to push through. Our ceiling is now our floor. So many speakers... Royree Jensen, Faylene Sparkes, Lisa McInnes-Smith, Kim Jones, John Bridge... Brilliant times were had!

First fire for the season...

The pizza was divine Sunday night... The only thing that could too that day was to have a fire... It was chilly outside so was the perfect excuse, off course.

So I fired the Woodstove up. It roared to life and warned us all. In the end it was too hot for the boys... So comfy... Bliss!

Tim bought us all eggs for Easter and we had an Easter egg hunt around his unit...

This one he got for himself... He'd been busting to get inside it and see what's in there. It was hollow and then there was a surprise in the centre of it ;)

What a morning...

I finished my shift this morning at 6am. I had a check up appointment with my Dentist at 8:39am so I spent a chunk of my time before that walking along the river in town... So beautiful. So peaceful. So tranquil. Beautiful breeze to boot :) Such an awesome way to start the day!

Visiting Tim...

Yesterday, Josh and I went to visit with Tim. Tim paid for both of them to go to Kloud9ine. I paid for them both for the following two hours. Yep, they jumped for three while hours.

Josh is knackered today. So is Tim. They had a brilliant time though...

Oh No...

Was on the traction yesterday afternoon and hit a rock... Nothing unusual about that really as we have allot of them. More rocks come up when rain washes away the soil also...

This time though, one of the blades came off and the washer is nowhere to be found. And the bolt is bent and snapped off... Luckily, the safety chain didn't give out or the tractor would be in the paddock still, with no way of getting it back to the shed... Though, it needs replacing too...

Off to find a local that can weld...

Date time with Josh...

Yesterday, after work I was able to get Josh from school for a date.

We went to Garden's Galore and had a Snickers Bar. A meal on its own for sure. Josh couldn't even finished his. No dinner for us... So naughty yet so delicious!!!

A date with Tim...

Spent time with Tim over two days last Wednesday and Thursday... Had appointments and dinner to attend, too. Hard life, I know hehe...

On Wednesday, we had lunch and did some sightseeing. We also did a spot of shopping. On Thursday, Tim and I went to Picnic Point Cafe... We had drinks and cake and then he wanted to explore. So, explore we did... Love the waterfall. So pretty and not far to walk. Which was just as well as the track was wet from rain...

Had a great time!
