Tonight's Side dish...

Last lot of our potatoes, from inside Josh's veggie garden area. New tyres have been set up with new seedling potatoes. These potatoes will make an awesome accompaniment for dinner tonight :) Yum!

First eggplant of the season...

Hubby got the first one off the bush this morning! Sadly, while cutting off the big one, he chopped a little one off too...

This is the first of many, many to come... Yummy!

I love it that when I need some parsley all I have to do is get some out of the garden! So handy and so delish to boot!

Dwarf beans...

These were raised from seed... They've taken so much longer than I thought they would. But we've had some late frost and I was fortunate to not loose any of them :) Can't wait to have a crop! Hope it's a good one!

Sky liquid...

Love to get out in the garden and get my fingernails dirty...

This morning though, the wind is particularly... Strong and that's an understatement...

We have been using the bore water every couple of days to water our veggies. I wanted to go back to the watering cans and filling that up from our 44 gallon drum. This morning, I filled it up...

Our shed tank has 10000 litres in it which doesn't get used very much at all. I realise this will change once we get the water system for the orchard set up. For now, it's very useful for our veggies...

Growing...

Veggies are getting there. The lettuce will be picked from for dinner tonight. One looks close to wanting to go to seed already. We've had lovely weather and the plants are loving the position too.

This morning, we planted out 8 dwarf beans that I was given by hubby recently. Can't wait to see them grow :)

My youngest has 3 rock melon seedlings in his garden now too :)

The bees are out and having a great time too! Oh, what a glorious day. The sun is shining, the breeze is gentle, my men are playing pool... Oh, this is the life indeed...

Our potatoes...

Last weekend, my youngest and I went on a hunt :)

A hunt for potatoes... No tyre was left unturned...

We got enough large, medium and baby sized ones for a meal :) Tonight, we feasted!

Mixed frozen veggies...

Yep, this odd looking carrot was in our packet... No, it was not eaten by humans but the worms are certainly enjoying it!

Bit early, but...

We were all outside this morning and my youngest wanted to pilfer some potatoes from his garden...

As they were way too early, we ended up going to some other tyres that I had set up a while ago. We went down to the backyard where we used to have our gardens...

They are small off course as they are young but we were able to get enough for a meal.

Need to keep their jackets on though or there's nothing left lol. Can't wait to eat them as they are always so yum :)

It's a meal...

This squash came from Josh's garden yesterday afternoon :)

Going to scoop out the flesh from the middle, add herbs and some mince and bake it as part of dinner this week!

Can't wait to taste it! Well done Josh on your champion efforts in growing :) Well, it got lost under the leaves actually but well done anyway... Hehe
