4th Resurrection...

It will be the ovens last too... Love having it back. Even got it a new light bulb to celebrate its last time alive... Looking for a new one...

Blessings,

MX5...

Josh likes that car and reckons it would make a great first car for him... Brand new, off course!

Here's he's taking Tim and I for imaginary rides... Hehe

Funny what kids get up to when parents are looking for a new car and the kids are old enough to be asked by sales staff if they need help. Lol

Blessings,

Feeding the feathered friends...

Tim loves to feed them. This apple core took them a while as he was holding onto it. The black middle one wasn't timid at all. Others were... Tim and his ladies...

Blessings,

And today there were 15!!!

Eggs that is... One tiny one was 21g. So cute.

Very happy with the ladies... Well done chookies!

Update! There were another three in there this afternoon... So we have a total of 18 eggs in one day!!! Woohoo!!!

Blessings,

It's broken...

I didn't realise the whole solar flask was empty. I knew one of the boys had tipped some out by accident Saturday but thought they'd refilled it. Not so.

I took the lid off which was a bit smelly. Like burnt plastic? Should've thought more...

Went to the tap to add water to it so I could make a cuppa... The water going in was sizzling... And then BANG! It exploded in my hand. So glad I was outside. So glad I wasn't injured. Just a sore back from all the picking up of debri. So glad the chooks and dog stayed away. I was able to pick everything up, with Tim's fantastic help...

I see that the newer model has a pressure release valve. Its base is square and it fit in allot more water... Yep, I'm getting a new one... Best way to spend my spending money... ;)

Acts of Service...

It is my Love Language. It's what makes me tick. It's what fills my love tank. Anyone want to show me that they love me, Acts of Service wins each and every time...

Yesterday morning, upon arrival from having just finished my sleepover at work, Josh said to me he had a present for me. He said though that it was not a love letter... I couldn't wait to get inside to discover it... Russell had tidied up the kitchen just the way I would and Josh had polished the sink. Both the sinks were dry... I threw my hands up in the air for joy. Josh was gobsmacked! I told him that that one act would be a huge source of joy for me all day.

This morning he wanted to up the anty and do three things... He made Russell and my bed, he refilled our dinner water bottle and he shined the sinks again...

He loves to see my reaction. He can't get over how easy it is to show someone you love them just by doing something so small. No need for money, etc. Just a couple of minutes is all it takes... He leaves me clues and then leaves for school. I then go on my treasure hunt. I love it! I love it that he takes the time. I love it how thoughtful he is. I love the young man that he's growing into... I'm a proud mum...

Bring the outside in...

I love my jonquils flowering. The four stems that I brought inside today didn't quite fill the vase... So I went and brought some of our flowering wattle in as well. Oh, the delicate smell of the wattle and the strong smell of the jonquils...

Heaven on Earth...

Blessings,
