Queensland Symphony Orchestra...

The complete orchestra came to The Empire Theatre, Toowoomba...

We booked our seats months ago. We were in the third row towards the middle. Probably a little low so we couldn't see every instrument but boy could we close our eyes and hear them...

It was a tremendous experience for the boys. The evening was full of Movie Masterpieces... Russell's favourite and an early Father's Day gift from us to him.

It was wonderful. I hadn't been in many years. Found out Swan Lake is coming in October... The Russian Ballet... May need to go!

We ended our night out with ice cream from Baskin Robins... Yum...

What a wonderful way to spend a Friday night together... So blessed...

Surprise!!!

I don't iron often... Last weekend was Russell's sister in law's Birthday party. I wasn't able to go and used my time wisely...

I loved the quiet. I don't usually have all three gone at the one time. I decided to iron all of Russell's available shirts. Did one of Josh's too... Then I stuck love notes to each hanger!

The next day, Sunday night, is when Russell usually irons his upcoming week worth of shirts. He got all set up and ready to go. Went to get his shirts and hangers and couldn't find them... He wondered out loud what was going on... I waited with a grin on my face...

He called me his cutie pie... Awwwww, how lovely is he...

Blessings,

4th Resurrection...

It will be the ovens last too... Love having it back. Even got it a new light bulb to celebrate its last time alive... Looking for a new one...

Blessings,

MX5...

Josh likes that car and reckons it would make a great first car for him... Brand new, off course!

Here's he's taking Tim and I for imaginary rides... Hehe

Funny what kids get up to when parents are looking for a new car and the kids are old enough to be asked by sales staff if they need help. Lol

Blessings,

Feeding the feathered friends...

Tim loves to feed them. This apple core took them a while as he was holding onto it. The black middle one wasn't timid at all. Others were... Tim and his ladies...

Blessings,

And today there were 15!!!

Eggs that is... One tiny one was 21g. So cute.

Very happy with the ladies... Well done chookies!

Update! There were another three in there this afternoon... So we have a total of 18 eggs in one day!!! Woohoo!!!

Blessings,

It's broken...

I didn't realise the whole solar flask was empty. I knew one of the boys had tipped some out by accident Saturday but thought they'd refilled it. Not so.

I took the lid off which was a bit smelly. Like burnt plastic? Should've thought more...

Went to the tap to add water to it so I could make a cuppa... The water going in was sizzling... And then BANG! It exploded in my hand. So glad I was outside. So glad I wasn't injured. Just a sore back from all the picking up of debri. So glad the chooks and dog stayed away. I was able to pick everything up, with Tim's fantastic help...

I see that the newer model has a pressure release valve. Its base is square and it fit in allot more water... Yep, I'm getting a new one... Best way to spend my spending money... ;)

Acts of Service...

It is my Love Language. It's what makes me tick. It's what fills my love tank. Anyone want to show me that they love me, Acts of Service wins each and every time...

Yesterday morning, upon arrival from having just finished my sleepover at work, Josh said to me he had a present for me. He said though that it was not a love letter... I couldn't wait to get inside to discover it... Russell had tidied up the kitchen just the way I would and Josh had polished the sink. Both the sinks were dry... I threw my hands up in the air for joy. Josh was gobsmacked! I told him that that one act would be a huge source of joy for me all day.

This morning he wanted to up the anty and do three things... He made Russell and my bed, he refilled our dinner water bottle and he shined the sinks again...

He loves to see my reaction. He can't get over how easy it is to show someone you love them just by doing something so small. No need for money, etc. Just a couple of minutes is all it takes... He leaves me clues and then leaves for school. I then go on my treasure hunt. I love it! I love it that he takes the time. I love it how thoughtful he is. I love the young man that he's growing into... I'm a proud mum...

Bring the outside in...

I love my jonquils flowering. The four stems that I brought inside today didn't quite fill the vase... So I went and brought some of our flowering wattle in as well. Oh, the delicate smell of the wattle and the strong smell of the jonquils...

Heaven on Earth...

Blessings,

Hypnotising a chicken...

Tim showed me a cool trick today... He was taught this by his Ag teacher a couple of years ago...

You gently stroke the chook from under their chin all the way down their front a few times till they go floppy... Then put them on the ground and they just stay there...

She stayed there a little bit and then just rolled to her side and got up and walked off, pecking at the ground as though nothing had happened...

I wander what goes through their mind at that time... Lol. No harm done and awesome to learn something new. ;)

Blessings,

Gentle stroking...

Repeated a few times...

Eyes open and moving but no leg action...

Walked away, pecking and talking :)

On the roof...

Our solar hot water system has a couple of tubes, covered in insulation foam, sticking out of the panels. Transports water and moves it around. Russell noticed yesterday morning that one foam tube looked like it was breaking up...

After work, He and Tim got up on the roof and replaced both bits of insulation tubing. Lucky too as they were both falling off. That could have meant that the water would freeze up in the pipes and we loose the panels... Didn't realise that they weren't even held down with an tape. Well, they are now :)

Tim, off course had a ball up there... Russell was glad to get back down...

All fixed now ;)

Lazy dog...

He loves a scratch and stretches as far as he possibly can to get the most out of it.

His humans off course are the real suckers, hehe...

Bowing to very whim. But how could you not... Lol

Blessings,

Andy Wilson Memorial Run...

We had it in our little village for the first time this year... Last Sunday was a most brilliant day for it. The weather was perfect!

We had walkers and runners. Young and old. There were 1km, 5km, 8km and 12km events to choose from. It was very well attended and I also loved the additional stalls that were there...

Had the best coffee and scored a beautiful cardigan for Lis' baby... So cute! I love seeing our community coming together like this... Nope, I didn't enter anything as I was not able to stay. I had a Birthday bash from work to attend. I instead went down with Josh to see them off at the start and spent some money. My ankle will be fine for next year, I know it!

Blessings,

Bruises...

Josh was having fun at the indoor trampoline place, Kloud9ine, in Toowoomba last Sunday... At one stage he fell awkwardly and landed fully on his shoulder blades... By Monday afternoon the bruising came out... You'd think he was sore but no, he couldn't feel anything...

Blessings,

Josh joshing...

Tim was cleaning out a cupboard earlier this week and he found this little robot...

There was no batteries in it, so Josh asked if I could get some on Wednesday, while I was in town...

He then attacked my hair and got the robot stuck as well. Lots of laughs and fun. Jasper had no idea what to do with it other than stay away from it hehe

Blessings,

Attack of the robot monster...

Tangled...

Josh has the controls... Watch out!

13 eggs in one day!!!

Woohoo... Gives me the opportunity to bless people with our lovely eggs... Love it!

Blessings,

More ice...

Had -3.3 degrees this morning. It was so lovely of Josh to get the fire going again before 5am so that when we got up it was warm... What a lovey young man.

I went outside to take photos for my darling sister. She loves seeing the photos of the ice. Wish I could package it up and send it to her hehe...

Let me share my photos from this morning here with you also...

Blessings,

How did that happen???

I went to look for a tube of special toothpaste for Tim and I found that I couldn't easily see what I had under the bathroom sink...

I made up my mind there and then that as soon as Russell and Josh left for work and school this morning, I would get into that cupboard and get it sorted asap!

I took everything out, gave freebie soaps from hotels to charity. Same with containers and empty bottles. Also creams that were still unopened after six months all went...

Now everything is in groups again and easily accessible! Woohoo... So wrapped... And it only took 1/2 hour as well. Win, win!

Blessings,

Before picture... How easily it happens...

Everything out...

Overflow from under the sink...

Beautiful end result... ;)
