??? Excercises???

Josh wanted proof that Russell knew how to do push ups... What a lot of laughter that brought into our home... So Russell proved it to him... Here, they're relaxing and chatting afterwards. So funny to watch as they both couldn't stop giggling the whole time. This also meant that the maximum push ups able to be done, was not achieved... Just too many giggles...

First fire for the Season...

I was here for it, just...

Am on my way out for a weekend with my two sisters. It's just too cold to not have it on. The wind is howling and there's no sun at all. Made for quick drying time for the load of washing I put out this morning ;)

Oh it's soooo cosy... Can't wait to enjoy it  some more when I get back Sunday! ;)

What a sunrise...

Last Wednesday morning, just before the start of my morning shift, I had to go to the edge of the grass and take this photo...

I am so blessed to work where I do... The people, the job, the view... Ahhh, heaven on earth!

Blessings,

New Scarf...

While at the recent conference I went to, I was asked what my favourite colour was. I stated it was blue.

The week after I get home I find a package in the mail for me ;)

A new friend I had made at the conference makes these scarves and she had sent me one in my colour... How blessed am I???

Thank you again Val for your generous gift. I just love it. I wear it with pride. Such talent...

Blessings,

Loves to Share...

Tim and Eric had made Beef Jerky... Tim came home last week with three different flavours...

All tasted so yummy. I was very blessed to have been given a big bit by Tim! Love it that he shares so freely...

Blessings,

Decluttering...

But not deowning... That would be too stressful and I am learning to pick my battles...

Tim is in the process of getting rid of his heavy and very large bookcase... He is wanting the slimmer one that goes with his table. This means he has to put a heap of rocks and minerals into containers and for them to be stored under his bed. So far so good. He did get rid of allot of things too, so proud of him.

Yesterday, when we started he was fine with getting rid of all his old pottery he made during one lot of holidays... Now he's not so sure...

All good as he has plenty of room under his bed. I just hope that storage will not break anything...

Blessings,

Diamond & stand, boot, bowl with gems on the edge, chook, two bowls...

Tim and his chooks...

He just loves them... And they love him too!!! He just adores them... He feeds them every day and ensures that they are comfortable. He's their little protector...

It was a sad couple of days when we had Spotty and a X-Battery hen pass a couple of weeks ago... I fear we have too many roosters and hope to send some to the Pig n Calf soon... Will see if he lets them go...

Blessings,

Turkey Stew...

I've not tried turkey before but will in future. Two legs had a massive amount of meat on it!!!

I slow cooked these two and we ended up with three meals out of it! Yummy!

Blessings,

Still blooming...

My Mother's Day flowers are still going but nearing their end...

So beautiful...

Blessings,

Dog watch...

Jasper loves to see what is going on outside...

Blessings,

What the???

Tim let out the chooks yesterday morning and came inside... All of the sudden there was a commotion... I had to come and look...

Looks like our babies, that have grown up now, have been taught a thing or two by Floppy... They're all starting to jump up on the generator cover and window sill. And not just on this window sill but a couple of others too... Curious things they are.

Blessings,

Kefir...

You know that moment when you have something in the back of the fridge you have forgotten about? You get it out and it's all dried and yuk?

Ok, maybe not you but I have... This time it was my two containers of milk kefir. I hadn't looked at them for a while and the milk covering the grains had all but dried up and the grains were in a sad state of affairs...

Amazing just how resilient these little things are. I washed the gunk off and kept only the viable looking ones. Tossed the rest to the chooks, which they loved. The had a slimy film on them and smelled off as far as I was concerned...

Didn't give up though. Over three days I changed the milk on them every day and this morning I tried the milk kefir. Back to smelling and tasting yummy!!!

Just as it should ;) Now I can give some to a friend tomorrow, which was the reason I got them out in the first place! ;)

Blessings,

What's Wrong with this picture???

Can you spot Floppy??? Yep, she's visiting me on the window sill and chatting. Had a scratch amongst her feathers then left...

Cutie...

Blessings,

Chip Roulette...

Tim's idea on Josh's Birthday... See who makes a face first and the other wins...

Never mind that most chips are fine to eat but some are NASTY!!! So hot they burn ya tongue! Cups of milk were at the ready!

Tim lost hehe... Very brave, or dumb... Not sure yet which one lol

Blessings,

Happy 16th Birthday, Josh...

Sunday was his day... He's certainly growing up. He loved going paintball inc with his brother and mates... There were a couple missing but another group of 9 turned up so there were many targets :)

Josh so wanted decent bruises to show off at school Monday... Was not to be. He got hit so many times on purpose but only two gave him a slight mark... Too buff! ;)

I tried a banana cake this time for his cake and I ended up putting in an extra banana. All three were huge so the cake was heavier than normal. Tasted fantastic though and was enjoyed... Umm quickly lol

For presents we got him mostly Adventure Time stuff as he loves the cartoon and didn't have allot. Love eBay hehe

Oh, how they grow up so quickly...

Blessings,

I am a winner!!!

Bahahahaha, not that I ever doubted it! I have entered probably 12-18 times. The entry forms are in our local monthly magazine... Las week I won a voucher worth $20 at our local RSL! Woohoo! Date night for Russell and I ;)

Blessings,

Women on the Frontlines, Australia Conference...

I had no idea what I was in for... I just went with an open heart and mind. I knew I wanted more. More out of my time and life...

Russell made it possible for me to go and I left with a friend on Wednesday late morning. We got to the hotel just after 2pm and settled in well.

I spent the afternoon with my lovely sister and the Thursday to Saturday were full on days. Saturday night, my sister also joined us for the last session. I love my sister...

I was able to have a date with my Dad on the Friday... It was bliss. Was so wonderful to see him! Had not done that in over 20 years... Was wonderful...

Each day at conference started at 9am and went till 3pm. Then again from 7pm till 9:30pm. I'm grateful for the comfortable chairs there :)

It was eye opening and hugely encouraging... I wondered at an early point why I was there... But I quickly learnt that I was meant to be there...

I met some incredible women...

Patricia King
Cindy Donaldson
Faylene Sparkes
Lisa McInnes-Smith
Royree Jensen
Lynne Hamilton

Just to name a few... Was great to catch up with Lynne and her hubby Tim. Hadn't seen and spoken to them in a year...

We had Fatai perform for us also. 19years old and so full of wisdom... What an incredible voice too...

The conference was held at River of Life in Slacks Creek. The pastor there used to be an elder at my old church, when I went to a different church, 30 odd years ago. How times change, how people change.

I'm glad for that, as I know I have changed... So glad about all the new knowledge I walked away with. Loving putting them in practice. Have already paid for the conference for next year! Can't wait! I say... Bring It On!!!
