Revamped Oven...

Today my Dad was back :)

The oven got the heater coil replaced. The oven seal also got replaced. The new deal just arrived today in the mail a hour before my Dad got here!

Then my Dad also fixed the bottom of the oven. The fan sucks in the hot air and then it blows out downwards. That strip down the bottom had rusted through totally. So allot of heat was escaping and the rusting continued... Dad found a slat from an old aluminum garden table and he and Russell cut it to size. My Dad then screwed it in place with spare screws he found in his bucket of spares hehe

I have an oven that's on its third life!!! Woohoo, against thanks so much Dad for fixing it :) And thanks Russell for keeping the slats of the old garden table :)

Feeling so blessed!

Bio cycle Fixed...

I accidentally slashed the hose and connectors ages ago... When water came out of the end it just ended up being a fountain...

Yesterday, Russell and the boys got one fixed :) Looks and works beautifully and will also be watering our newly planted trees...

Now we just have to do the other outlet. That'll get done during the week. Only needs one length of hose and one sprinkler replaced :)

So glad it's done and useful (watering trees) again...

Blessings,

Jasper helping plant trees...

He had to come and stay with us as we were in the front paddock. He might just miss out on something. The wateringcan got a good working out, well the water in it anyway, as it was very hard work watching us do the digging and filling in the holes...

He loves our company that's for sure ;)

Blessings,

Bee Trees...

We planted four trees this morning... They'll get to 6 metres high, which we love. We also love the fact that it'll cut out some of the ever increasing number of roofs that are appearing... The village below is getting built out and the glare off roofs and sheds is a bit much sometimes... This way we have more green and still have the mountains...

Bees are coming in Spring, so we are getting ready now... Being the start of Autumn gives the plants time to settle in :) we are not not just getting ready with trees getting planted but with equipment that we will need...

We like to be prepared and ready for our soon to arrive hives...

Blessings,

What a Sunset...

It was a bright orange ball... It looked so much better than my camera could capture but here's a try anyway...

I was amazed at how just slight steps either way to the left or right had a profound impact on the images... Just amazing this world we live in...

Blessings,

Yep, I'll have more of that...

Jasper getting cuddles and scratches from Russell... Oh how he loves it!!!

He brings us all so much joy...

Blessings,

Graham Cooke...

Had such a treat with four other wonderful ladies yesterday...

Haven't been in an audience of his since 23.11.13 so had been looking forward to hearing him again in person for months...

And off course he didn't disappoint. Not that he would when you go with the right frame of mind...

Was so abundantly blessed through him...

Blessings,

22 Years Married...

Russell and I celebrated last Friday... Had a lovely lunch out and most of the day to ourselves. Left the boys at home, as it was our local Show Day and they had assignments to do ;)

Blessings,

Step Five...

I only have two more hand clinic appointments left. That's how well my wrist is going!

I went last Wednesday to see Jodie and I went from my right wrist pressure of 22kg to 38kg!!! Two weeks ago my left wrist pressure was 38kg to 39kg this week... How good is that? Doesn't mean that I can lift that but I'm squeezing pretty good ;)

I have more excercises to do and more massaging. I have a rubber band now too, to strengthen more muscles... Going back again in 1 1/2 weeks. Can't wait to see my progress :)

Tim's new Hat...

The one he had for TAFE wasn't right. So we went hunting for an Akubra! Now it all feels right! It's called the Cattleman... And I love the quality to boot. Should last years...

Totally Rocked!!!

Blessings,

Visitor...

Was cleaning the mirror last night and what do I find in the window... A frog, waiting for bugs to fly near it as the light was attracting them :)

Cutie...

Blessings,

Timothy's First Shave...

He's been talking about it for a while... He wanted to shave his mustache... I wanted to make sure I was home to witness it!

So last Wednesday, 18.3.15, at 6:09pm Russell introduced Timothy to the razor... No nicks, no cuts ;)

He couldn't stop touching the smooth skin... Needless to say it has started growing back again! Another huge milestone for Timothy! So proud of him...

Blessings,

Mysterious Rash...

Josh was outside helping Russell hang washing, when he started itching...

Came back inside and within 5-10 minutes he had welts all over his torso!

I put the Photonic Light on them and Russell applied Stingo to some and it went away quickly... Very strange...

Blessings,

Seaworld and Wet N Wild...

Our family outing was twofold today... Seaworld then Wet N Wild...

At Seaworld we didn't go in any rides this time. We watched the Dolphin Show, which has been changed, touched the Stingrays, checked out the Sharks, enjoyed watching the Polar Bears that were very active today and also enjoyed watching the Penguins.

One penguin is sitting on an egg too :)

We left when it was pouring rain and there was a huge thunderstorm to boot.

Didn't get better at Wet N Wild. We went in but all rides and pools were shut due to the lingering thunderstorm and the accompanied lightening. Was eerily quiet and the wave pool with no one in it looked strange... We stayed for a little while but then left as there weren't any rides for the boys to go on.

The ride home had patches of rain and now we're home it's raining, with a thunderstorm... I hope and pray it rains all night :)

Blessings,

Such posers :)

Jerry Coleby-Williams...

He spoke at Warwick Town Hall tonight. Perfect timing as the boys went to Youthgroup with two other friends.

For three hours (except a 20min break) he spoke for three hours on 'Bellis', his home in Wynnum, Moreton Bay. He spoke about his sustainable home and garden and how he's transformed his property in just 11 years...

It is incredible how much food he harvestes every year. Russell and I got allot out of it and can't wait to get going more in our own...

Blessings,

Rolled ankle update...

Went to Physio yesterday and it was suggested to me that I take another week off work.

My foot was tapped up and a compression bandage was also put on. I have three excercises to do till I see Heather again, Tuesday morning. I am going to try one sleepover shift and see how I go. Can't wait to go for a little walk tomorrow... I am also very nervous as I feel very unsteady on my feet at this point in time... I'm taking Josh with me just in case and for mora support. He wants to go shoot some hoops and I'm totally fine with that ;)

Blessings,

Table tennis...

Josh has started playing it at school with friends at lunchtimes...

He doesn't feel quite up to the challenge of flogging someone... So seeing we've had a table in perfect condition for about 8 years... We thought it'd be a great opportunity for the whole family to play the game and get good at it at the same time :)

So for now, my car lives outside the shed and the table had been set up in the shed! Love hearing the ball going back and forth. Love that the boys are choosing to play the game together... Just fantastic!

Bats, ball, table and net are all in excellent condition :) Might have a game tomorrow myself ;)

Blessings,

Venus Flytrap Flowering...

They're so dainty and lovely... Loved watching the buds form and then have them open up one by one...

Happiest when active...

Both the boys still love the trampoline... I am deeply thankful for the person that invented it :)

Josh loves doing backflips and yesterday he was having fun trying to jump as high as he could...

What's with the tongue though hehe...

Blessings,

What a view...

Got the chance to leave my normal four walls yesterday afternoon... How cool is it that someone does Physio from their home and has a view like this!!!

Blessed to have seen this...

Blessings,

Off colour...

For the last week, Jasper has not been himself...

He's withdrawn and clingy. He's not sick or off his food and water. He's just not the normal happy boy that he is.

What I've realised is that he is at about the same time as when Bailey started getting sad after Nova had died...

The other issue is that since I rolled my ankle he hasn't been for his usual walks...

My excellent walking shoes have worn out from the last 10years worth of work so I'm getting a new pair.

He needs to get back to walking and so do I, badly... It'll be ok Jasper, it'll be ok...

Little visitor...

Look what I found just now while closing my door... He was a bit squished in there. Must of been hiding from someone hehe

Tim tried to kiss him and he jumped off...

Love hearing and seeing these little green guys...

Blessings,

Honeybees...

Russell and I had the privilege of seeing hives getting new queens yesterday... Was amazing how calm they actually were... The potential flying and stinging was what stopped us many a times. We're looking forward to getting our Flow Hive in December :)

We're loving the learning process. This week we also plant bee trees! ;)

Blessings,
