All I wanted to see...

When going to Seaworld, I really wanted to see three things... See the Polar bears, penguins and sharks... All were great, except the polar bears... They were asleep... Last time I saw them was 15 odd years ago and they were very lively then :(

Oh well, I got a picture of a hairy leg... The others were fantastic to see :)

Cheers

Seaworld... So much fun...

Yesterday, with Margaret and her boys, we all went to Seaworld :)

Had a great time. Margaret has decided to never go anywhere without us again... Last time she went she was bored. Hehe, she never saw much. Yesterday, was packed full of seeing stuff!

The boys had a ball! Can't wait for the next outing!

What the??? Kefir explosion...

The glass jar that I had been using for my water kefir, mysteriously got a crack in the base, meaning I could no longer use it...

I put it in the recycling bin and went through my drawers to find another adequate container as a replacement...

I ended up with a Tupperware dish that had a larger base than the glass jar. All the liquid fits in nicely and plenty of room for burping :)

I put in all ingredients as per normal... Late this afternoon, I went to check on the grains, to see if they needed another night. I had only stirred them once after 24 hours, which was last night...

The sight that greeted me was amazing! Not only had they more than doubled in size but also in quantity! The individual grains were so large and held together really well. They certainly didn't need another night's growing!

I am shocked... The only difference from previous batches and this last one is that the area of the base is larger... Think I'm keeping this container :)

PS The chooks loved the spare grains :)

Sooo talented...

Not an easy feat... Twisting an apple in half with your hands...

My youngest has done it twice in a row now... He's so proud of himself...

Reading...

This is my next book... Can't believe there's a book with my name on it! One of the local ladies gave this book to me to read...

Cheers

Excellent movie...

A tear jerker but oh so good...

Memories...

I got both the books... A reprint from the 1988, 75th Anniversary and the current 100th Anniversary... Both the boys and I are in the latest book too... Very happy to get the 1988 book especially, as I had tried to get a copy in the past but couldn't... :)

The cake cutting was done by a 95 year old past student and our current youngest preppy...

There were about 30 stall holders and vintage machinery on display. Our local Rural Fire Brigade was there demonstrating too :) I scored some lovely plants that will live in the greenhouse over winter as well as a beautiful food cover :)

The current students also sand three songs. They did really well. They had never sung to such a large audience :)

Was an awesome turn out!

Time capsule...

The 75th Anniversary time capsule was dug up... Man, did the contents smell bad. The contents was not damaged and survived rather well. It was amazing to see what was able to be fit into the capsule. Looking forward to see what gets into this 100yth Anniversary capsule :)

We also found out that it was all collected in 1988 but not buried for some reason until seven years later...

Ohhh, the mystery...

Whip crackin' fun...

My eldest had a go after an old local did his bit. He even got a couple of cracks out!

100yrs Anniversary for our school...

Today, our local school celebrated 100 years of education... The State and Local Members were there, many past students, parents, staff as well. Many people where there. Was lovely to catch up with so many people...

A day we won't forget for a long time :)

Cheers

Giggles...

My eldest had come across a site that has hilarious stories on it...

He loved sharing some of these stories with me the other day :) Was lovely to share some giggles with him...

Couldn't resist...

On my way home this morning from work, I was basking in the most beautiful sunshine. Oh, what a glorious morning it had been...

When I got home I really wanted to use my solar cooker. Might as well make something for nothing with my beautiful cooker :)

Bimby, the Thermomix did a great job. In a few moments I had enough muffin mixture to make a cake and six trays of muffins! Woohoo!

First three layers are in there. Love it that the solar cooker is so big that I can fit in 3 dozen muffins at a time :)

Be a nice treat for the boys too, having muffins for school!

Visitors...

I had one of these little darlings in my hand not long ago. One that had passed away. This curious little one was very much alive.

Stayed on the chair for quite a while. Seemed to be checking me out... :)

My youngest hanging upside down in the hammock. Holding on only by his feet!

Smarty pants.

My youngest and his girl...

Swinging slightly together catching some rays...

Boys getting along...

Allot of times they are at one another, all part of finding their own way and growing up... Lots of learning involved.

Loved seeing them both in the hammock this morning... Lovely to see :)

This is it!!! Matsoni yoghurt...

It's thick, it's smooth, it's nowhere near as tart as I thought it would be... It's yummy!!!

We put organic dehydrated cranberries with it... To die for yum! More has been put on and much more will be consumed. Hubby likes it and is trying out different flavours already. My eldest loves it, my youngest too :)

Hooked!!!

Cheers

Cute puppies...

Both the dogs loved sitting in the hammock... Loving the sunshine :)

Cheers

Family time...

Not so quiet as what the intension was for the 'parent retreat' hehe

Love having the boys and dogs all together :)
