Sunday, Tim tried in his formal suit. His cousin is lending him his, which I'm so thankful for...
His partner's mum had found the perfect tie too :) Can't wait to see him in it properly :) His partner and her mum also love the suit! Yay!!!
Yesterday, when dropping home one of our local ladies after Biblestudy at my house, I came across a wallaby that had been killed but not pulled off the road. Happened that morning I would guess, by fly and ant activity on the mum.
As I pulled the wallaby off the road the body turned around and I noticed that there was a Joey in the pouch. I gently teased him off the teat and wrapped him up. He was squirming allot and making smacking noises. Poor darling was hungry. He looked so fragile as he had no fur but boy, he had movement in him!
I washed the tiny maggots on him off and then gave him to a friend and she attempted to drop him off at our local wildlife carer but he wasn't going to be home till the next night. I collected him back from my friend and a carer came out from Warwick! She came straight away. She's had them survive even weighing 60g!!! This boy filled my open hand. She put him into a pouch, tucked him into her shirt while thanking me twice for checking the pouch... Many babies get missed apparently.
I'm so glad he went somewhere that had the right animal formula and the know how... Can't wait to get updates on how he's going...
Update: Saturday, 30.8.14
Have just found out that the little one died this morning... He fought and fought but a stroke took him in the end. Am so thankful to Lyn for taking care of him while he was here...

The tabletop off this table fell apart a while ago. We had bought it as a dinning table and chairs combo many years ago. Then it was used as a table outside for the solar cooker...
The top was made out of chipboard so broke down quickly in the harsh Australian weather. The metal frame was just lying about idly...
It needed a new top and today was the day it got just that. I was sick of Jasper knocking over my solar water heater. The number of coffees I've missed out on...
Now the first coat must cure for 18hrs, then another coat and it'll be right to be used... Solar cooker and water heater, here I come :)
I reckon Russell and Josh have done an awesome job...

Tim brought his invite home on Thursday... Oh, how proud we are of him. Have already booked our table so we can see him and his date Caitlyn come in, walk through the restaurant and through to their Ballroom... Was the first to book ;) Can't wait!!! Now for the smaller details... Hiring his suit, the haircut, organizing the corsage, learning to dance, transport (Caitlyn wants to arrive in a truck-yeah one that transports live animals).
Loving it all :)
Am making two meals tonight... Russell doesn't do seafood... More for me hehe.
Shepherd's Pie for Russell and Tim. Josh and I are having Salmon. Josh mentioned the other night that he really wanted to try fresh Salmon. We've had it smoked many a time but never fresh.
Aldi is the place for me to go for Tasmanian Salmon, if I can't get straight from the trawlers ;) Great portions and great price!
Love the two pieces I got and think I've done not too bad with them :) Chips... Yummy.
Mum is a wealth of knowledge, receipes and otherwise... Loved and appreciated her advice on how to prepare and cook it, as there were way too many different ways of doing it.
Used one of Josh's lemonades too :)
Made a heap of Shepherd's Pie... Will be plenty if leftovers. Love leftovers...

Tim had his very last Sports Day at High Scool last Friday... 1.8.14 marked that day! At one stage a bunch of them were bored, so someone started a pile up and another took some photos... Thanks to fb, I was able to get copies of the photos... On ya, Tim... Loving the wig!!!
