Soooo tiny...

Did more slashing with the tractor this afternoon... Nearly all done. Then it'll be time to start all over again, the way the grass is growing at the moment...

After I finish, I always go and check whether there are any late eggs for collection. Found Midget in a box and she fled as soon as I went near her. She's so flighty... Has surely helped keep her alive till now...

I collected the two eggs that were there and shut up the chook house. Went to go back inside and found an odd plop on the ground near where Midget had run off to. Took a closer look and sure enough there was a yolky sack that had no hard shell. And it's ever so tiny...

Tim couldn't get enough of it. Reckons it's a Guiness World Record holder for sure, if it had a shell lol...

Blessings,

Goanna...

I saw this one, from the kitchen, walking casually across the front yard. I got closer and he hid himself around the tube that we put the chlorine tablet down for the bio cycle...

Josh touched him with a bit of a leaf at the end of a stick... He didn't like that much and ran for it. Glad he didn't go in the house fenced area or he would have done damage to Jasper. Jasper was very curious... Barked at him once. The Goanna ran to the cubby house instead and disappeared behind it. Probably went next door...

He was a pale colour and it was great to see him at our place. Love wildlife... Just hope he didn't eat any eggs hehe. He would've been about 1 1/2 meters in length... Speedy, once he got moving... Glad, I wasn't in his way...

Blessings,

Most of him hidden but you get the idea...

Mystery bulb...

This one, I have not seen before... It smells like a cross between garlic and spring onion.

It was given to me with a note saying the I was special... Didn't know if to plant it in the vegie garden or amongst my flowers.

It's in a pot for now. It's in a morning sunny position. Will see what happens...

Christmas Wonderland...

Toowoomba has a huge section of queens Park sectioned off every year for the Christmas Wonderland.

A fabulous place to see loads of lights, hear Christmas Carols, see choirs perform, dance students out on a show and food to eat. Oh I loved it! All donations go to charities around town...

Enjoyed the whole experience, along with many, many others...

Had the chance to barter with some of our lovely eggs. Ended up with organic beans and peaches... Yummy...

Blessings,

My last day...

Tuesday, I had my last shift in Toowoomba... I asked to say Grace at dinner and prayed a blessing over my six ladies too. It was an emotional afternoon... Everything was, One last time... It was hard at times yet also joyful... I am so grateful for having worked for The Salvation Army. I have learnt so much over the last 4.5 years. I am going to miss the clients. I will miss some very special fellow staff members.

The next morning, I had the privilege to sit in my car with a very close friend and pray over the place. Pray for clients and staff... A total wow moment! We then had coffee and waited for another wonderful friend to join us for breakfast at the Picnic Point Cafe. What a glorious way to finish.

It has been a privilege and a honour to come into these clients' homes, hearts and lives... Three of my ladies will write to me. I am looking forward to that...

So here's to a lovely break and then a new journey begins, much closer to home, in the New Year! Woohoo...

Blessings,

Award Ceremony...

Last night was Russell's last Awards Ceremony at our local little school... For me, it was a little sad but I'm also looking forward to him moving to his new school. He's going to shine even more. His fantastic qualities will be able to be utilized much more. He's also gotten his qualifications again for upgrading computers in schools. That will generate an extra income also... He had been at this school 4.5 years. He has seen three Principals there and numerous students come and go.

At the moment there are 16 students. He's about to go to a school with over 200. Gonna be awesome. The Principal said some lovely words and gave thanks to him for all his work as well as his dry sense of humour hehe

There were some awards given out as well as some lovely performances by the students. Loved the PowerPoint presentation of what was achieved over the year too ;)

Blessings,

Quiet Time...

Have loved the last couple of days, doing not very much at all. Just being...

I brought a Mr Lincoln rose in as they have the most beautiful scent... Love the smell and my time... Ahhh, peace, joy and quiet...
