Chillin...

Last Saturday, I had the opportunity of spending a whole three hours in my hammock... Oh Bliss!!!

Had such a lovely time singing, listening to my podcasts and snoozing... Hehe

Totally blessed...

Blessings,

All the wind...

Tim left the shed open for a little while and then the wind came...

Being the time of year it is, we ended up with a heap of debre in the shed, under the table tennis table...

Was funny trying to get it all out again hehe

Youth Movie Nights...

Tim and Josh and a couple of other youths run our local movie nights. Once a month we put on a couple of movies... One for the kids, then a dinner break plus a couple of games and then a movie for the teens...

Love getting action shots. The kids love it!

Blessings,

What a beauty!!!

Josh found this whopper just before the start of our local Youth Movie Night tonight... It was large.

Then, later during the break between the two movies, it appeared again and this time a local, Georgia, got to hold it. She was stoked!

Amazing how large they can get. We've seen them bigger but it was big all the same ;)

Blessings,

Anzac Day... 100 years on...

It was a honour to have the Warwick RSL involved again with our community.

Yesterday they came out and the school and community had the opportunity to attend a local Anzac service once again.

It was a honour to be there and attend...

Lest we forget...

Fridge Declutter...

Anyone that knows me, knows I love a good declutter session or better worded... Deowning session!

Did that to the fridge! Well, not me as I was off to work... But Russell and Josh did a fantastic job ;)

Blessings,

Out at Last...

For about six years this earthing rod has been been stuck in the ground near the shed. Try as we may, we couldn't get it out.

No amount of pulling from various people moved it... My brother Markus got it stuck in there really good... This morning, Russell had a brilliant idea... He built a cage of loose bricks around it and then levered it out with the large crowbar...

It worked and it is finally free!!! Woohoo... So glad it's gone...

Blessings,

Oops, Tim...

Couple of weeks ago, Tim and his carer went to Tooloom Falls. The camping side was great and Tim had allot of fun clearing debre, so the water could run more evenly...

He also found a little watering hole that ended up middle of his upper legs deep. Drowned his shoes but Tim was very glad he had taken his wolf jacket off and it stayed dry. Everything else was soaked... Have everyone a giggle... Shoes are all dry and fine now and Tim is none worse for wear, thank goodness :)

Love it that he has the opportunities to see some of our beautiful country... We are so blessed in Australia...

Blessings,

Just before he took his jacket off...

The 'little' waterhole...

Just a little soaked...

New receipe...

I've been making Soggy Cake all my adult life really... For our community morning tea today I was looking for a coconut biscuit receipe that was easy and quick... I found it on a kids cooking site on the net. Sooooo easy and sooooo yum. Bit crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside...

Can't keep the three men away to have enough left for morning tea, which is on in half a hour...

Best stand guard... ;) Nearly lost a tray to Josh already...

Blessings,

Watch out!!!

Here's Russell armed and dangerous...

More beekeeping instruments have arrived. Getting a little bit excited about getting out new babies, not that they arrive till September or October hehe

Now we are in the process of getting suits for the boys and I too... Can't wait...

Beekeeping Accessories...

Our first thing to come... A smoker... Very exciting indeed... Can't wait for Spring when we get our hives...

Blessings,

First for the Season...

I raided a tyre on the weekend... Had to look at what we got. I put four little spuds back again to grow again...

Can't wait to eat them ;)

Nothing like having your own from your own garden :)

Blessings,

What a beauty...

Wouldn't even fit into an egg carton... A massive 96gr!!! Woohoo for me... Ouch for the chooky bum...

Was happy to take this monster into the kitchen today :)

Blessings,

Shed update...

Getting there slowly. More things getting into the trailer too :) Bonus!!!

Blessings,

Weeds galore...

Loved clearing out around the chookhouse and extra cages today. Needed doing. Glad all the cobblers pegs plants are gone!

Blessings,

From Laser Skirmish to Sprained Ankle...

No, not me this time but Tim instead. Where we are it's Youth Week and one activity they had on was Laser Skirmish :)

We sent the boys along for a bit of respite for Russell and I. We picked up the boys and found Tim limping... He has done a good job of his left ankle...

It's on ice and he's using my crutches I had from my fall six weeks ago... So glad they've become useful again. Sad it had to mean Tim got hurt...

He still reckons he had a ball. Even met some nice young people ;)

Blessings,

Doggy Biscuits...

For the chooks... You soak them in water and the biscuits expand a great deal. Then feed to chooks. Do this for four to five days and they should start laying again...

I'm sick of having 30 chooks and One egg or Two a day. That's just nuts in my books. The new chicks are well and truly old enough to be laying.

We lost Spotty yesterday, which was sad. I had mentioned to Tim that I couldn't see her amongst the hordes feeding so he checked and found her in a nest... Just as he picked her up she passed away. I had seen her the day before and by the colour of her comb and her walk I thought something was wrong... So glad he got to say goodbye. So sad it was her though... She was such a lovely girl. She was Floppy's sister...

Back to the other chooks... I can't wait to get eggs... Had to buy a dozen last fnt...

Insane in my eyes...

Felton Food Festival...

So many stalls, so many people, so much food, so many ways to be entertained...

It was great fun. Tim was thrilled to get a load of Beef Jerky...

The sun was out and was fun to see Costa from Gardening Australia too, amongst others. He's the same on camera as off :)

Was a lovely way to spend part of our Sunday together :)

Blessings,

It's a frog not a toad...

Yay, I win!!!

Russell reckons this was a toad. I told him 'No way'! And I was right. Confirmed by none other than the Queensland Museum... Sent photos by email and had it confirmed... What a most wonderful service :)

Guess what it's called...

It's a Pobblebonk Frog... Bahaha, what a cutie.

We found him when getting rid of the dead lillypilly plant. He was under shrubbery and weedy grass as well as mostly buried in soil... He seemed happy. Moved him on to hopefully a better home :) Away from prying chook eyes too :)

So glad it wasn't a toad, not that I thought that for a second... Here's to many more Pobblebonk Frogs ;)

Shed Clean Out...

It's happening ever so slowly... More stuff is happening in the house and garden at present, so it's on the back burner a little...

This back corner is done though and that's great. Only problem is Russell thinks we need a cupboard in that corner now for all the bee keeping things that we need to store...

Oh boy...

Blessings,

Another job done...

I just love Holidays..,

It's the time to get bigger jobs done and extra hands to help..,

One such job was cleaning out the fridge from top to bottom... Including all trays and drawers...

Russell and Josh did a fantastic job ;)

Blessings,

Nutella Mug Cake...

Oh my goodness, I've never tasted something so wickedly good... Was way too sweet, though. In future, I'd half the receipe and leave out the sugar altogether...

I had about a quarter and that's all I could stomach. The rest awaits for another attempt tomorrow... Doubt I'll finish it then either. Oh well, will give it a good go ;)

Blessings,

All clear around the shed tank...

So nice to see the waist high weeds gone... The bricks that were there, Tim had been using for a slug farm but it wasn't going so well. Too buried under weeds and bushes... So they're gone now.

Getting there but by bit...

Blessings,

Here Chooky, Chooky...

Was sitting near the greenhouse this morning, when one of the X-Battery Hens kept pecking near my foot at the gravel... I picked her up and put her near my face. Her eyes are so amazing close up...

At one stage, I took off my sunnies and she got way too interested in my eyes. Glad I didn't loose them :) She just bok boked her noises at me and tried to have a conversation :) Such a cutie...

Blessings,

Whirlpool...

Josh did such a great job at making a whirlpool today... Things one gets up to when playing and planting outside hehe

Had to take piccies...

Blessings,

Banksias planted...

Two more are in the ground ;) More flowers for the bees...

Russell and Josh did excellent ground preparation work :)

Blessings,
