Trimming the Rosemary...
It's been in there for nine years and has never had a trim. It was time... I took heaps of cuttings and Russell has put them in the greenhouse. We hope they grow as we would love a hedge out the front house fence with Rosemary... Great for the coming bees too :)

Garden beds...
They have new soil and manure added into them. Found some treasures from last season too...
Blessings,
Shallots...
Huge parsley...
Fully grown lettuce :)
Yacon is hiding in the top left corner and the rest is ready to be planted with other seeds and seedlings... Great times :)
Huge Step...
In my heart I had always hoped we would be able to have Dexters here again, one day... Realistically, that's not going to happen. 8 acres isn't enough room for two and we really want the seedling trees to keep growing ;)
Today, Russell and Josh are demolishing the cow yards we built nine years ago... Sad to see them go though it's making way for the new three bay shed. It will house Russell's tools, etc...
We will then finally have a place to park both the cars out of the elements, in our original shed. Will be great to have this chapter finished... Then, onto the driveway.
Blessings,
One chunk is out...
There are allot of staples and bolts...
Josh, the muscleman :)
Getting there...
Pile is getting bigger, though materials will be used elsewhere...

Mr Lincoln...
Love the smell and the beautiful rose bush this is... Love bringing it I tot he house... This one was for Russell's bedside table :)
Cut the bush back really well earlier this week... Should grow heaps more flowers again.
Blessings,
Mulberries galore...
We went into the greenhouse first time in a long time... Lots had died and just not coped with the frost...
The mulberry tree was touching the roof and has roots growing out underneath into the base gravel of the greenhouse...
It is covered in fruit. Took some off that were ripe and they were lovely. Could be sweeter though seeing we didn't feed it it is doing extremely well!
Yum!
Blessings,
Fruit galore...
Nom Nom Nom...
Love it when they bake!!!
Russell and Josh were in a baking mood...
Loads of rain does that :)
This time they came up with a delicious Black bottomed Strawberry slice...
Sooooo moreish!

Harvest time...
This is what happens when you don't water the potato plants enough... Leave them to their own devises and they don't grow much...
We will get one meal out of it for Monday night though that's all...
I'm in the process of moving the tyres closer to the shed so that it's easier to water them... Will see if that makes a difference.
I have a list of 30 things that need doing around the place over the next two weeks holidays... Have already started getting stuck in and can't wait to make a big dent in that list this week :)
Blessings,
Where are they going???
Walking Domino late this afternoon, we encountered six millipedes going across the dirt roads over a space of about four hundred metres. Single, one at a time...
Must be migrating season...
Blessings,
Will they, won't they???
Stalks are coming up. Leaves are poking through the soil... Looking forward to the colour... So beautiful...
Blessings,
Should be deep red Hippies...
Will this flower???
This one is pink, from memory I think...
Flowering...
Spring is springing... Had 5 degrees last night yet still the flowers are pushing through :)
So wonderful to see...

2 week old calf...
Isn't he the most adorable baby animal around??? I certainly think so. He's such a sook, as his mum says. He's good that he's on only two big bottles a day now, though he still ends up having about 3 litres of formula. He's an orphan...
My friend's grandkids are going to just adore him when they visit!
Blessings,
Oops...
Was cutting back the first rose bush and didn't even make it through half the bush when the secateurs snapped...
Oops, then had to let Russell know... Double oops...
Maybe shouldn't use his secateurs that he uses in the greenhouse... Though I did try and find mine... :(
Blessings,
Spring has Sprung...
Love seeing the bees out and about, especially on our wattles, lavender and rosemary...
Yesterday, we put our order in for three nucs... In three to four weeks, we WILL have bees! Finally putting them into two normal hives and one Flow Hive! Can't wait!!!
Blessings,
Enjoying a bit of our lavender inside...
Was given Jasmine yesterday... Such a beautiful smell...
Gifts...
After Biblestudy yesterday, I was given beautiful Strawberry Marmalade...
Turns out that my friend's friend Catherine that makes these delicious small goods is the same Mum at my hubby's school and she has gifted him with goods too... Small world...
Love to barter and bring a smile to others' face as well as my own. Love sharing skills and knowledge...

Memories...
I remember these chocolates from when I was little... Had the pleasure of taking some home with me after my visit with my Mum...
Good memories...
Blessings,
The Destroyer...
That is what our darling Domino was though not anymore... He's learning well that when he does the wrong thing there's a crate to go and think about it. Jasper and he actually choose to sleep in there most days, with the door open... Very cute :)
Blessings,
The last may to be shredded...

What the???
Tim was feeding the Chooks yesterday morning... He threw the grain in a rocky and wet area as it has been raining so much. One of the Chooks moved this way and that and then ran for the grain. Where she had been, she had laid an egg on the run!
One part of the egg got knocked a little as it dropped on the rocks. All good to eat though. Tim picked it up straight away and it was still wet and warm... Now that is fresh for ya!
Blessings,
Visitors...
Rocky and some of the ladies visited us yesterday as they were trying to keep out of the rain...
Blessings,
Flooding...
At home we had 72.9mm of rain... More was received in our local larger town 1/2hr drive away...
The Condamine River has burst its banks for sure...
Had to turn around twice and take alternative routes to get to where I needed to go...
Our tanks were already full and now are busting at the seams, off course. The rain has been wonderful for the seedling trees and shrubs though. And now the grass will grow again also. The next three nights it will be cold. Glad I have the fireplace ;)
