Russell, Tim and I were Pokemon hunting and while we're under a tree, the inhabidents got a little cranky with us being too close to thei nest! Made a right racket... We moved on lol.

Baked cheesecake...

I've always considered Russell as the expert cheesecake maker... Turns out that with my two baked cheesecakes I've made one more than him. He doesn't bake his... I had no idea... I just ate them hehe... Love working in the kitchen together with him. Such a pleasure and he is such a treasure!

It's a yearly massive winter festival that is done in Warwick... It's a lovely way to bring many communities and different walks of life together for one cause. Was wonderful to see so many getting out there enjoying the time in the sunshine. The weather has been superb... The music was everywhere and always something a little different!

Christmas in July...

Enjoy having the community come together and celebrate a little.

Happy Birthday, Russell...

Yesterday, Russell celebrated his 51st Birthday... Was truly a wonderful day. Ended with a roast and homemade baked cheesecake. First attempt ever. Russell usually makes the cheesecakes. This year he asked for one for himself. Turned out really good.

Was wonderful to celebrate his day as a family...

Principal Awards...

We got notification of it with Josh's report card. No one had any idea what level he ended up. Not even Josh. 

We got there yesterday and we were all there supporting him and honouring him in his Level 2 achievement! Was so great to celebrate Josh as a family.

We sadly lost Bruce our rooster about three weeks ago. Didn't even want to acknowledge it as its been a sad time. At least he passed being with his ladies in the Chookhouse, very warm and comfy...

Well, yesterday Tim came home with a new rooster. He's six months old and at the moment he's in a pen just so he gets used to being relocated... He's very beautiful... He has feathers down his feet just like Bruce had... Oh, I do miss that boy...

His comb is a Rose comb. Haven't had a chook with such a comb before though have seen them plenty of times...

Due to his colouring looking a little mottled like a rock his name is Rocky!

He's come from a lovely home in our village and though he's on the bigger side he's is a gentleman...

Can't wait to introduce him to the ladies properly!!!

Chimney Sweeper...

We have been here nearly nine years and haven't had the chimney cleaned by a professional... We have always gotten excellent quality wood from our wood man and regularly put preventatives in the fire also to minimize the build up.

When we had the professionals come and clean the chimney, it was in excellent condition. Glad to see the small pile that came down the chimney :)

Nothing like a story on the news about a house burning down and the chimney being at fault to get you to act. Glad all is good at our home ;)
