Snow White's babies...
We gave our lovely Muscovy ducks away a while ago... Saturday, Snow White surprised my friend Fiona with 10 babies. The other duck is sitting as well and should be hatching hers out any day... I went past there today, while on my walk and they're sooooo cute! Mum is doing a fine job... Missing them...
Such a Blessing...
Saturday, I had the privilege of spending a whole day listening to Graham Cooke. He hails from England but now lives in America. Such inspiration, such insight!
Blessings,
Greetings from the sky...
Driving to Margaret's Saturday, this is what I drove into... Such wild weather we have had in recent times... On a happy note, we're only half a rung off having full tanks again! Woohoo!
Blessings,
Leadership Camp...
My eldest went off to camp this morning... He was soooo excited. He's looking forward to most activities too... Especially seeing the fireflies at night. He's not keen on doing the mock formal at all. Escorting young ladies?!?! Hubby did a fabulous job with his 'suit', which was made out of garbage bags, right down to buttons and the flower!
Can't wait to hear about all of his adventures when he comes home Thursday afternoon...
Blessings,
Selfies time...
Went and visited Margaret, as she was making dinner for me for my Birthday. Was a lovely meal so lovingly prepared and devoured in minutes hehe...
We also needed to take more selfies... Here are a couple of them :)
Blessings,
Nearly over...
My eldest has nearly completed six months of work experience. He has been working at the dog grooming shop every Friday afternoon and loving it. He wants to go back during the summer holidays too. The dogs adore him too :)
Here, the owner made a collage for him and framed it with him and his favourite dogs... Middle on the right happens to be Toby, the Cavalier that we rescued a few years ago and then found out later that we couldn't keep him after all. My eldest loved seeing him and knowing that he was doing really well!
It has been a great experience for him. Such enjoyment...
Blessings,
Yummy...
They're sweet and taste squishy... They drop into your hand at the slightest touch, when ripe... Soooo divine!
Getting there...
The grapes were doing soooo well, until I left the greenhouse open and it was open slather for the chooks! They're not looking this good anymore...
Youngberries...
The cuttings have taken off so well, I was able to share them with a girlfriend! Two even had fruit on them. The other three will catch up soon, I'm sure!
Blessings,
Antics while walking...
I love it when we all walk together... The chit chat that goes on is wonderful! It's a wonderful way of creating opportunities to talk about all sorts of things. The boys like to run ahead of hubby and I and play a bit of basketball at one of the local parks. Then, when we catch up they join us for the rest of the journey. The ball keeps on being played though :)
Bailey is walking again now with a Gentle Leader. Love that invention! No more pulling with his shoulders!
Blessings,
Another one...
Yep, I've had another Birthday! 'Twas last Friday... I took the Thursday night and Friday morning off as I wanted to wake up with my family around me, and I did! Love Birthdays!
Weeks earlier, I had found a stall locally, where there was hand stamped jewelery. The lady came from Toowoomba, which is where I also work. Got all the details of what necklace I wanted and gave hubby all the info. He ordered it and I got it as one of my presents!
I just love it! The outside ring is surgical steel and copper on the inside. No tarnishing because of my skin. Normally my skin reacts to stirling silver and the like. The necklace is not long enough though, so I've ordered 3 from eBay. Two are on their way already. Can't wait for them to arrive :)
It's something I always want to wear. It's very symbolic for me. The Tree of Life at the centre of my little family!
Blessings,
Date time...
Last Wednesday was date time with my youngest... Love spending time with him, just the two of us. He was very good at polishing off a stack of pancakes and got the best brain freeze from the ultimate thick shake... The Coffee Club! That's where it's at! ;)
Blessings,
Worm food...
Once left overs, food or veggies in general are no longer fit for human consumption, they either end up with the chooks, guinea pigs, worms or compost. Nothing is wasted!
This day, it was the worms' turn... From bucket to mush! They loved it... And the whole bucket of veggies was converted into lovely mush in about 3 minutes with my lovely Thermomix! Love that machine!
Blessings,
Spectacular clouds...
Every night that I'm home, I end up walking... Usually with Bailey. Sometimes with hubby and the boys...
Last week, we had a week of storms, hail and a heap of wind. Our tanks are nearly full :)
Amazing how over the time of one walk, that the clouds change so much!

Plum Pudding...
I have never tried to make it before... I tried this week... This is hubby's mum's receipe and really easy to follow. Love her easy instructions!
I made two of them. The tying up and getting out of the cloth was about the only tricky bits...
One is frozen for Christmas. The other is basically gone... Hubby couldn't wait! Hehe
It is very yummy, I must admit!
So you see I'll have to make some more... Lucky hubby!

Am a little proud...
Hubby works at our little local country school...
He's also very clever with computers... This is the completed and erected new school sign that hubby did up for the P&C! It was installed Friday!
So proud of you honey! Fantastic work!
Blessings,
What the???
Hubby was hanging out the washing this morning and looked towards the chook house to see what all the noise was about...
And there came a chook out of the house making a huge racket! It was running along and even got the dog's attention...
And as it was running along all of the sudden it dropped an egg!!! Yep, it really did!!!
Hubby had to be quick to get the egg as the yelling had gotten the attention of other chooks and they were trying to get the egg! So, we got the egg but what a ride for it to get into hubby's hand... Very strange indeed...

Getting there...
One of my very favourite fruits in the whole world would have to be a freshly picked, ripe fig...
These are on the tree, still in the greenhouse! I can't wait to feast on them. If I beat hubby to them... Ok, I'll share :)
Blessings,
What to do...
After our yummy BBQ, we lost power for a few hours. What to do? Play card games... And listen to your youngest as he whistles... Bliss!
Blessings,
BBQ time...
Had a lovely Neighbour over last Sunday and enjoyed the best BBQ! Just finished eating and said goodbye... Then the storm number 1 hit... Had a great time! This plate was my youngest'. I couldn't manage half of that feast...
Blessings,
Demented Carrots...
They're supposed to be little balls... Close but not quite! Will see what the rest of the crop brings when they are ready for pulling...
Blessings,
Just a minute...
I love it that when I need some parsley all I have to do is get some out of the garden! So handy and so delish to boot!
Blessings,
Dwarf beans...
These were raised from seed... They've taken so much longer than I thought they would. But we've had some late frost and I was fortunate to not loose any of them :) Can't wait to have a crop! Hope it's a good one!
Blessings,
In the wrong place...
The grapes have grown since spring... Which means they have little (and large) tentacles in the greenhouse and therefore made themselves quite attached to the shelves...
The grapes are growing well... Need to get them outside though as there is just not enough room in the greenhouse for them! But alas, hubby believes that's when they'll die... He doesn't have much faith in the outside yard. Plus he's likely to forget to water it out there regularly...
Blessings,
Loads of growth...
Hubby's patience and continued watering has paid off! Veggies are growing so well :)
More seeds are being put in trays again this week! So much to do... Having so much fun doing it all ;)
Blessings,
Yellow Box x 10...
Got an email from my local Landcare office last Thursday... Loads of yellow box tree tube stock left over from a farmer... $0.90 each! Grabbed 10 on Friday after my sleepover shift...
We have had a good lot of rain since yesterday... Tomorrow, hubby's digging 10 holes ;)
Blessings,
Oh No!!!
Trouble for my eldest! He's always either putting things in the freezer or taking ice out. Just loves the stuff to suck on...
Only thing is he never asks or remembers that as water freezes it expands!
There goes my work bottle... Luckily, I have more!
Blessings,
