Yesterday, started out as a slow day and we didn't get ready till about 1:30pm... We had time and we took it. We got the flowers for Josh and his partner Laura at 3:20pm. Got to her house a little early and were on a tight time line to go to several places for photos. At 4:45pm, Josh got the 67 black Chevy Impala and picked up Laura from her home. There he also gave her a card and a cubic zirconia flower necklace as a thank you gift for being his partner. Such a proud moment for me as his mum. He was the perfect gentleman too, all night. And not just with Laura but also with others. They take great pictures together, that's for sure. Everything came together so well. Laura's mum and sister had all the photo opportunities sussed out and all that needed to be achieved, I believe was :)
The whole night was a huge hit. Josh was very attentive and Laura wouldn't have ever gotten any more from another partner! I am so very proud of him. All those years of teaching. All those mum and son dates have been well worth it!
The formal evening really started at them lining up to come down the red carpet at 6pm. They drove up at 6:40pm. Then off to the RSL by way of three buses. A loud and fabulous time was had by all. Like Tim, Josh lost his voice and also didn't want the night to be over... It finished at 11:45pm... So glad he has such a brilliant time. He got to dance with all the ladies and a bunch of the lads too... That was our last one... Awwww. Such a high note to leave it on though :)
