Pandora!!!

Yes, I've loved their things for a while...

Not so much the bracelets... But their rings!!! And seeing after having lost over 25kg, none of my rings fit me anymore, some being four sizes too large!

Pandora was my answer... For now I'd wear a couple of their rings instead of my wedding rings. Once I have lost the other 20 odd kg, I will have my rings resized. Can't wait till then. In the meantime, I have these two lovely ones to keep me company!

Still not sure if I will wear them together or seperate... What's your suggestion?

Blessings,

Silly goose, ummm chicken...

One of the ladies walked around a whole day with the leftovers of a styrene box hanging around her neck. No idea how it got on there but she wasn't in any hurry to part with it!

Couldn't chase her even to get it off. Us humans finally gave up and by next morning the excitement of it all must have also worn off... She was free at last!

Blessings,

Date with my eldest...

Friday after school, I had the privledge of taking my eldest to The Coffee Club. He had his usual and I had mine :)

It was Devine and I got talking to him about many different things. Found out what had been bothering him lately and tried to problem shoot some ideas. He came up with some good stuff! So proud of him.

I feel sooooo privledged that both my boys love going on dates with their mum. That they share stuff with me that they wouldn't if there wasn't that connection. I never want to lose that, ever! It will change over time, that I know but right now I need it open and real...

Love my boys soooo much...

Happy 100 to our local Hall!!!

Last night we had the most awesome night out! We were celebrating our village's Hall 100th Birthday! There were about 90 people, 10 people were also in the ukalali band! We got there 6:30pm and we didn't leave till 11pm... Such an awesome night. The food was fantastic! The company was great! Loved even pretending to be able to dance! Oh, what a fantastic night! So glad I went. My table won three out of the four door prizes! I got a huge container of homemade cookies...

Blessings,

Champagne Watermelon...

This is the first one that we have harvested and we left it on just a little bit too long...

The taste wasn't as full as we expected but still divine! Amazing what comes out of just one little seed :)

Celebration for little Chloe...

Friday, she was 1! Clever young lady... She was dedicated and we partied as well... Was so lovely to have both my brother's family and my SIL's family at the same time... What a blessed day it was indeed...

Blessings,

Fossils Galore...

Yesterday, my eldest went on an excursion through school for the whole day... He went to six sites and scored some lovely fossils... He had a ball and met some great people! He's looking forward to the next one ;)

Blessings,

Pathway nearly finished...

Am so happy that soon this footpath will be finished...

Will be great to have it done :)

Blessings,

Feijoa, Our very first one...

We picked two and the outside was rather woody. The inside was... Devine!!! Tasted like pineapple a bit. The whole family is looking forward to future harvests.

Blessings,

Fig, glorious Fig...

It's a celebration every time we harvest something from the garden. Today, it was a fig... I asked hubby to cut it in half as only my eldest and I wanted some. Oh, how divine!!! So delishous...

Blessings,

Quinoa...

Last time I went to Kialla Organic Grain Producers, I wasn't able to get any white quinoa. So I went for 2kg of red instead. Think the black would have been pushing it a little far...

Love that place. Much cheaper than a health food shop or IGA for that matter. Sadly Woolies and Coles don't stock it. Plus I want the organic variety.

I love how versatile the grain is! It's nutty taste is also lovely. I like to substitute it for rice or pasta. Love the taste and texture :) Comes from the Aztecs and that part has always intreagued me immensely. What we eat now, they also did back thousands of years ago...

So as you can see in the pictures, I've blended the last of my white in with the red. Worked well. No difference in taste :) Yummy!

Update on footpath...

Here's another shot of just in front of the School of Arts Hall...

It's getting there...

Blessings,

Rest In Peace, Caron...

My home church pastor sadly passed away on 5.3.14 and the funeral was last Friday. I was so blessed to be let off work 1/2 hour early, though I still was 20 minutes late in the end, due to three lots of roadworks... I'm so glad I went. I'm usually strong up to the funeral but once there I'm always a mess, this time was no different...

The funeral was a lovely celebration of her life. The way she was depicted was so her... She was so loved. Nothing was too much trouble. She was only 60 years old. It was her time... She's now in no pain. She's running and dancing and singing in her off key voice :) Her grin and laughter were so contagious. Her snorting when she laughed too :)

Oh, how I miss her... Oh, how sad I am for her darlin husby, as Caron would call Peter... Oh, how devastation it has been for her four daughters and son and their families, her own siblings and mother...

My circle will not be the same... No more dropping in for those bottomless cuppa coffees, no more prophetic words, no more visiting out where I live, no more car trips to see and hear Lynne Hamilton speak or to support her beautiful Daughter's Chaplain Fundraising Dinner, no more taking her to Bryson's or out for Chinese and have Michael whip something yummy up just for us...

It will be a new kind of normal... But never quite the same. I'm grateful for having met Caron. A mutual friend that wasn't a friend till I picked up plants from her through Freecycle and she invited me to her church... That was the beginning of a beautiful friendship, that I will Always treasure, I do wish it had lasted longer...

Goodbye for now, I'll see you soon, Caron!

Blessings,
