Lest we Forget...

ANZAC service leaflet...

In Australia and New Zealand we have a very special day today... It is ANZAC day. It is on this day every year that we remember the fallen, maimed and injured (body or mind). We remember the sacrifice that they made for our countries to be free. For us to have choice.

We have our service at our local park every year. There is a beautiful plaque and the school children walk down from school to join the rest of the community to remember. It is a service I am very proud to attend every year and I am grateful that the lovely people from the RSL come out every year to hold it for us...

Must say this year I was also very proud of Joshua. He sat there for an hour. Stood some of the time and always took his hat off when required. He was still the whole time... Others around him got in a little trouble and couldn't quite sit still and where bending their bodies all sorts of ways. Yes the planks of wood where probably not too comfortable either. Maybe the diet is starting to work??? Here is hoping...

Cheers Damaris
